There is no card on file and no recurring charge. You top the wallet up, it draws down five pula a day, and every message tells you what is left. When the balance runs out the alerts stop until you top up again. Nothing renews behind your back.

You pay on quiet days too

Some mornings there is nothing you are eligible for, and the wallet still goes down five pula. We would rather say that plainly than dress the pricing up: the work of reading 42 sources four times a day happens whether or not it turns anything up for you specifically.

What five pula is actually replacing

A person whose job includes watching tenders costs about P10,000 a month — that is our own operations salary line, not a market survey, so substitute yours. Over a year that is P120,000 for a seat that still cannot read 42 sources four times a day or open a Gazette page-scan properly. What the seven free days cover

The trial is a real credit on the wallet, not a flag on your account, and it starts once your PPRA details are on file and your profile is usable. That means the free week is a week of actual alerts, not a week of waiting for onboarding.
